4 Year Philosophy
The Rainbow Connection Four Year Program is a Kindergarten readiness experience. Children will learn the skills they need to be ready for that very important Kindergarten year. With a positive learning environment, they will develop a sense of accomplishment and self worth that will carry them through their formative years.
4 Year Program
Our Four Year Program is designed to focus on the skills needed for Kindergarten learning. The program will be offered in units of instruction.
The units will focus on:
- Concept developments beginning with the pupils own knowledge and experiences.
- Pre-reading concepts
- Producing language
- Letter recognition
- Shape and color recognition
- Left to right progression
- Story retelling
- Basic Math Skills to list of units
An integral part of our program is the opportunity provided for each child to expand and enrich the basic program. The teacher will develop learning experiences in math, art, language and science by providing independent activities for your child to satisfy his/her curiosity. Ipads are made available in the classroom as well to reinforce learning experiences through educational games.
